17 Year-Old Coaches

Brett Cloepfil – 17’s Elite

 Coach Cloepfil is entering his third season with the Colorado Chaos and his first year coaching the powerful 17’s Elite team.

In the high school ranks, Coach Cloepfil began his career as an assistant at Pueblo South, under legendary coach Dave Lockett.  At South, the Colts enjoyed an Elite Eight run followed by an appearance in the state championship game. In the two years Cloepfil was at South, the Colts compiled a 51-3 record. More recently, Coach Cloepfil has been the varsity assistant at Standley Lake High School under Chaos coach Mike Puccio for two seasons.

As a player, Cloepfil played at Colorado State University at Pueblo under coaches Joe Folda and Pat Eberhadt.  He was named to the R.M.A.C. – West All Conference team his senior season. Cloepfil also set a school record with 41 straight made free throws, and led the RMAC in free-throw percentage. For his career, he shot 41.1 percent for three-point range and 90.4 percent from the free throw line.Off the floor He received the Harry S. Simmons Scholarship Award his senior year, which is given annually to the standout male student athlete at the university. Cloepfil was also recognized as an academic all-conference selection in two different seasons at CSU-Pueblo.  He graduated in 2008 with degrees in Exercise Science and Communications. Coach Cloepfil is a native of Greeley and resides in Westminster where he works as an engineering consultant.

 

Mark Drury – 17’s Blue

 Coach Mark Drury is in his eighth year as a Colorado Chaos Coach.  He will coach the 17’s Blue team this year after coaching various teams throughout his Chaos coaching career, including the 16’s White team last summer.

Drury coached boys and girls basketball for 20 years at Littleton High School.  During his tenure he garnered many awards; Denver Post 1994 4A Girls Basketball Coach of the Year, Rocky Mountain News 2003 5A Boys Coach of the Year, and was named six times Continental League Coach of the Year.  He has also coached the Colorado All-State Teams three times. His high school career record as a head coach is 235-124. Coach Drury is a retired teacher and administrator, but still coaches freshmen boys basketball at Fort Zumwalt South High in O’Fallon, Missouri, where his 2010-2011 team finished with an 18-2 record. Coach Drury has coached at the high school level since 1973.

Coach Drury and his wife, Mary, of 36 years, have two sons; Luke and Nathan.  Luke is graduating from the Medical College of Wisconsin this spring with a PHD in Molecular Genetics. Nathan, is currently in his fourth year of playing professional basketball in Germany.  He graduated from Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin where he was a two-time All American. Nathan is also a former Colorado Chaos player. Coach Drury and his wife live in St. Peter’s, Missouri, for eight months of the year and then return to Colorado for the Chaos Season.

 

Chad Seibert – 17’s Black

 Coach Seibert is in his first season with the Colorado Chaos. He will coach the 17′s Black squad.

Seibert grew up in Indiana, where his love for basketball began. From watching Bobby Knight to raucous evenings at the Hinkle Fieldhouse, Seibert has always had a deep respect and love for the game. Seibert played both basketball and golf in high school and received a full ride golf scholarship to college which propelled him to a nine year professional career. After meeting his wife, they decided to relocate to Colorado, where Seibert started his basketball coaching career as an 8th grade Gold Crown assistant. During the same period, Seibert formed a relationship with Boulder High School as s scout for the #2 ranked Panthers. The next year, he joined the Boulder High coaching staff as the sophomore coach, leading the team to a 16-2 record. When the regular season ended, he started the Boulder Blaze program, coaching a 7th grade team and a JV team all spring and summer. The following regular season he coached the Boulder High JV team, worked as a varsity assistant, and continued his work with the Blaze program. Recently, Seibert’s 17U Blaze team achieved a record of 64-23 during the spring, summer, and fall months. In addition to his club teams, Coach Seibert has run the Boulder High Panther Camp for grades 2nd-8th each of the last four years. 

Seibert is currently a full time assistant to the Boulder High School varsity team that is ranked in the top 5 in the state. He is pursuing his masters in education so that he can foster his love of teaching through academics and sport. He lives in the foothills of Golden with his wife and two young daughters. 

 

 

Kameron Wilhite – 17’s White

Coach Wilhite is in his first season coaching with the Colorado Chaos. He will coach the 17′s White team.

Wilhite finished his high school playing career as one of the most decorated players in Pueblo South High School history. While at Pueblo South, Wilhite was a four year varsity starter and led his team to over 80 wins, including a state runner-up finish his senior year. He was also a four time All Conference selection and a three time All State selection. Wilhite was also a prominent member of the Colorado Chaos family as a player for three years, two of which were spent playing on the powerful 17’s Blue team. He finished his career as a member of the prestigious Colorado Chaos 1,000 Point Club.Following his high school career, Wilhite proceeded to play football and basketball at C.S.U.-Pueblo. He then took his talents to Colorado State University, where he was a member of the Rams football team. He currently lives in Fort Collins and is finishing his degree at Colorado State.
